Triangle Community Orchestra
The Triangle Community Orchestra, previously known as the Triangle Area Community Orchestra (TACO), is a community orchestra of volunteer non-professional musicians whose members have a great love of music.

We are a small chamber orchestra of about 40 members and hope to one day include other orchestral instruments.  Many of us have learned to play instruments as adults or are returning to instruments as adults. At this time we practice at the Meredith College School of Music through its Community School of Music in Raleigh, North Carolina, in its beginning orchestral program directed by Marta C. Findlay-Partridge.

We meet on Wednesday evenings.  We are always interested in new members and currently have openings for all strings, particularly violins.  Our Fall 2016 session will start in August 2016.

If interested in joining us at the Meredith College Community School of Music and to obtain registration information, go to: http://www.meredith.edu/academics/schools/arts_and_humanities/music-program/school-of-music/group-music-classes.  One must be registered by [to be determined], to avoid late fees.  We are listed in the Group Music Classes link.  Use Registration Form C - Group Classes and Program Vehicle Regisration form.

If you have always wanted to play a stringed instrument, Meredith College is offering a Beginning Strings Class for adults through its Group Music Class program, taught by Raleigh Medal of Arts winner, Marta Partridge.
